High school is rough. It is an environment filled with comparison and stress, which ultimately causes everyone to focus their attention on themselves. We ALL put on faces at school, and we ALL are searching for attention. What I have noticed this past week is the power of compliments! Compliments are a great way to build bridges and love others! It is such a simple action, yet I find it so hard to do on a daily basis. It is hard to compliment others because of our human nature to be jealous of one another. Personally, I find it so hard to compliment people when I am constantly comparing myself to them. I want people to notice ME and not someone else! Me! Me! Me! Me! But, you know what? It is not all about is ALL ABOUT HIM! One way I believe we can glorify the Lord is by praising His creation, and we are His creation! The crazy thing I have noticed this week is that complimenting others gives me such joy! Who would have thought!?! The Lord has shown me how much fun it is to bring life to others through simple words! WORDS HAVE POWER! We can either choose to speak life or tear down. So I encourage you to be a minister to your peers by loving them with your words!

"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." -Ephesians 4:29

"Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." -Philippians 2:3-4

"The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence." -Proverbs 10:11
